Job Description

Oxfordshire County Council is looking to hire a suitable candidate for the position of permanent Traffic Safety Officer (Traffic & Road Safety) in the highway and operations team. The job location will be County Hall, Oxford, South East England. The selected candidate will get a salary of £34,434 to £37,280 on per year basis. The candidate should have a background in Highway Engineering, civil engineering or a related field. Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for helping the senior officer with traffic and road safety services. They will maintain the traffic signs across the network. The candidate will oversee the contracts. They will prepare the work specifications. They will help in delivering projects like crossing, speed limits etc. They will respond to the public enquiry regarding traffic. They will coordinate with the stakeholders and community.

Required qualifications

The candidate should have an educational background in civil engineering, highway management, transport planning or any other related field. They should be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. They should have a valid driver’s licence.

Experience needed

The candidate should have experience in highways and road safety functions. They should have experience in inspecting the infrastructure on roads. They should have experience in collaborating with contractors and community members.
